Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began with her debut as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was awarded the Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko set her first professional MMA record in 2002 during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO, and then won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera by knees. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her first fight. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
