Amanda Elizabeth Righetti was born in the United States. She is an actress as well as a producer and writer. She became famous for her character of special agent Grace Van Pelt in CBS police procedural drama series The Mentalist. Righetti, an Utah native, had always dreamed of being an actor. Righetti recently portrayed Madeline Kenner, in USA Networks' science fiction show Colony.
